Houston, TX
After Hangout, I drove to Houston, TX to visit my friend Keely. The drive was about 8 hours and it didn’t seem so bad after all the driving I had already done. I managed the 8 hours by stopping in Mobile to have dinner with my friend Chandler and I had spent the morning loading up on Spotify playlists. I spent part of the day with Maggie in Gulf Shores and drove her to Pensacola airport, so by the time I made it to Houston it was about 3:00am (thank you, Chandler for the Red Bull!).
In Houston:
- I had an awesome Texas BBQ lunch at Hickory Hollow (http://www.hickoryhallowrestaurant.com)
- Visited the Japanese Garden in Hermann Park and took some awesome pictures (http://www.jgarden.org/gardens.asp?ID=376)
- DrankĀ an awesome moscow mule on the patio at Bar Boheme (barboheme.com)
- Stuffed my face full of Tex Mex at El Tiempo Cantina (www.eltiempocantina.com)
Houston was a pretty neat city. In the little time I had there I noticed that there were lots of little pockets/areas. Although the city is relatively small, it was pretty spread out. Thank you Keely and Travis for showing me a great time!
